About Me

Hi I’m Dee,

Like the therapeutic journey I too have been on a journey.  Through first-hand experience I’m aware that having a space to share thoughts and feelings can co-create the tools needed to break free from fear and step forward in life.

Growing up with the joys and challenges of culturally diverse community. Daughter to parents of the Windrush generation, a mother of two, a divorcee and entrepreneur

I’ve always been drawn to supporting others from working in local youth clubs and schools as a Lead Learning Mentor.  I went on to build a business supporting young people and families in schools and colleges up and down the country. Providing bespoke services, project management and supplying mentoring staff.

I’ve always championed health and wellbeing, training as a Counsellor & Psychotherapist was therefore a natural progression

Gaining both a Diploma in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapeutic Counselling and a Masters in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy from Metanoia Institute/Middlesex University and more recently a Diploma in Integrative Supervision.

As I continued to grow as a therapist my business Room2Talk has done just that, provided space for growth, healing and personal development spanning more than a decade.

My continious professional development vered towards supporting my African Caribbean community and Idiginous people of colour towards healing transgenerational trauma combining spirituality with psycho-education which in turn has to deepen my support of women. My work ranges from group and individual therapy to anti-racists consultation,

I’m a presenter and have featured in a number of podcasts, television programs and award winning BBC documentary, Anton Ferdinand Football Racism and Me

Media is vast, fast moving and an ideal tool to support community healing. I’m available to for presenting, TV and Radio.

2020, need I say more?

This period of time encouraged my continued professional development as well as my ongoing Shamanic training.

My practise now includes:

During this time I founded The Red Lipstick Tribe online community which now offers in person well-being workshops, retreats and getaways supporting individuals to Learn, Heal and Grow through psychotherapy, personal development and spirituality.

I Look forward to supporting your journey.

Dee.
